Kaleidoscope with a Twist

To watch the colors change, shapes melt away to form new ones, the mysterious tube in my hands was my biggest treasure and the source of endless fun. Just to watch the outlines and forms at the end of the tunnel kept me amused for hours. Whilst growing up, I outgrew many of my childhood treasures but the Kaleidoscope is something I always cherished. My habit of watching through tunnels and tubes was a result of my Kaleidoscope. Although not all have melting shapes or arrays of colors, they always reveal little surprises on the other side, a twirl or dissolving colors, and it’s always fun. This delicate photograph by Joaquín Alonso Arellano Ramírez (Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico), captures the fun beautifully.
