Loneliness
Just tonight, I realized, how many regrets I have…I am not the honorable, honest, and morally sound person I thought I was. I wonder why I am so scared of the aftermath of my actions. However, upon reflection, I realize I have many, many things that people can use against my character. In the past, I hurt people through my actions, lied to people. Dismissing many friends and becoming lax in my effort to see them, I cut ties with those who once I valued. I have become an angry, vindictive little man, and very lonely. Crippled with loneliness, sadness, anxiety, and regret, I have no one to blame.
Taken by photographer Siw Camilla Johnsen (Hammerfest, Norway), this image evokes the feeling of loneliness. The photograph of the Lone Tree was taken in a small fishing village Gjesvær, which is situated close to the North Cape in arctic Norway. Its landscape is somewhat bare, and the tree stands alone looking out over the mighty Barents Sea. It makes one feel lonely, doesn’t it? Do you ever feel like this?
