The burden of life

Do you know what Elbert Hubbard said? He said “I would rather have a big burden and a strong back, than a weak back and a caddy to carry life’s luggage.” Have you ever given a thought that how heavy the burden of life can be? Tell me “How heavy can be a glass of water?” Does the absolute weight matter? Actually it doesn’t. It depends on how long you try to hold it. If you hold it for a minute, that’s not a problem. If you hold it for an hour, you’ll have an ache in your arm. If you hold it for a day or two, you may have no hand at the end to hold that glass again. In each case, it’s the same weight, but the longer you hold it, the heavier it becomes.” If you carry your burdens all the time, sooner or later, the burden will become gradually heavy, and we won’t be able to carry on.
