Unreachable
Too many people go through life content with mediocrity, have you ever thought about this? Are you guilty of this? We work at jobs we hate to buy things we don’t need, to impress people we don’t necessarily like. People dread Saturday, but look forward to the last day of work, and pray for Friday. How long have we been surviving in this way? Is this really what life is all about, is this all there is? Do you believe we were created to be content with a mediocre lifestyle that we never aspired to in the first place? What happened to our ambition of becoming a rock star, astronaut, or an actor? What happened to the hopes and dreams we each had as children? Perhaps, over time, our dreams changed but our tendency for dreaming is still in us. Time is consumed whether we are prepared or not. The sun continues to rise and set, signalling the beginning and end of yet another day, more time lost whilst we decide what we do with time.
Our dreams changed with time’s passing and we age through life without them. And as life passes, we glance back in the mirror to discover in the cloudy horizon, our dreams we left behind. It’s almost like an unreachable unnamed peak through a cloudy vision…we may have lost sight of our dreams but still they remain in our horizon’s reach, for us to try once more.
