What People would Say
You are in an elevator with your colleague of a different floor, and he doesn’t say hello, would this bother you? You can’t understand why he doesn’t say hello. Has he done something to you, or you to him? May be it’s because he is troubled with family problems, and he’s too engrossed to notice you. You want to buy a shirt but then you look around, and begin to think only certain people can wear this type of shirt. You don’t buy the shirt because of what people might think. Do you think this way? Do you ever wonder why you overthink everything? Why “what people would say” is robbing you of your life?
Just look at the picture by Photographer Jim Alonzo (Sharjah, UAE), of kids having fun at a fountain; totally oblivious of everything. Aren’t you envious? Don’t you want such a life without worry? Children teach us many things in life. The one most important thing is that if you have to live your life to its fullest, you have to live by your own terms to be happy. You must believe in yourself and your heart, to make others believe in you. Children are happy with the simplest pleasures in life; can you feel their innocence or what do you feel?
