PHO 131: Harness Your Artistic Potential

PHO 131: Harness Your Artistic Potential

Photography is all about capturing the essence of a moment; how you feel the textures, colors, saturation, the direction of light, the shadows, and the breeze that gently carries the seed of life everywhere. You can truly call it a photograph when all these things can be conveyed to a viewer through one skilled eye. The aim of this course is to help one develop that aesthetic side to visualize and capture the perfect composition. From controlling the depth to visualize the perspective and the overall composition, from transforming that visualization into reality to become a purist, this course will help you achieve all that.

For transforming visualization into reality, one will learn how to control the ambient light, background details, specular highlight, value, clarity, and negative space through unique style and skill. This course consists lessons from basic to advance, strictly technical to digital, and with presentation, assignments and quizzes. It is a self-paced course, where a learner can proceed at his/her own speed, however, should complete it within the time frame of 4 months.

This 3 credits course costs $75, which includes guide book, course materials, exam fees, and award registration for presenting your work.
